UNDERGROUND SPACE CONNECTIONS

1. What are your views on the proposed underground pedestrian connections at Kowloon Park in terms of connectivity at the Tsim Sha Tsui Area?(Check all that applies)

Able to enhance walking experience (e.g. providing barrier-free and all-weather pedestrian passageways)

Able to alleviate the overcrowded condition at street level nearby (e.g. Haiphong Road) by diverting the pedestrian flow

There is no need to improve the walking experience at the Tsim Sha Tsui area through the proposed underground

CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME CONSIDERATIONS

5. Do you prefer developing the proposed underground space at Kowloon Park in a single phase approach or phased approach?

  • For single development approach, the construction works can be completed in 3 to 4 years’ time, but the Kowloon Park areas affected at a particular time will be greater. For phased development approach, the extent of impact on Kowloon Park at a particular time can be minimised, but a longer construction time will be needed (about 6 years).
